1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die

I consider myself an avid reader, especially of novels. Most of these lists I do pretty well on, but this one totally crushed me! I haven't even heard of a lot of them, sadly. I was browsing Kate Spade's "Things We Love" list on the website, and came across this list. It is from 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die: A Comprehensive Reference Source, Chronicling the History of the Novel. Do ya'll do as badly as I do? I am not counting the movie version, but I am counting audiobooks when I check them off. I think it brings me to 76/1001. How about you guys? Are there any I haven't read that I should absolutely check out right now? Let me preface your response with the fact that Middlesex is on my nightstand. And I must read more DeLillo.
